Kirk & Sheri began dating during the summer of 1998. Kirk was a Special Ed teacher and a Varsity football coach at Arvin High School and Sheri still had a year left at The University of Alabama. Knowing Sheri had fallen in love with Kirk, she and her mom, Linda, had found a way to finish school in one semester and return to California to be with her family and Kirk. Kirk and Sheri dated for three years before he finally popped the question on June 4, 2000. They had a year long engagement and were married on Saturday, June 30, 2001 at OLPH Catholic Church in Bakersfield, CA.
